To
know truth, we must focus on the deeper meaning of what we are searching for
like asking questions, thinking on other possible meaning, and observe as we go
on with our search. Because if we settle on one answer only, how do we know if
it really is the truth without asking questions and thinking about other
possibilities.
To know the difference between truth
and opinion, truth is an objective reality, it means that a world exists
completely independent from human minds, perceptions, and beliefs. It remains
true even though while no one is looking or present, it will always be there no
matter what efforts you’re putting in to cover it up. And opinion is a person’s
own beliefs, it may seem true to the person but not to most people, opinion can
be changed, but not truth. Truth is not always superior to an opinion, truth
can hurt other people’s feelings and might damage his/her or our reputation and
relationships with the people we are close to. But with opinion we can have
empathy, motivation, and tact, these can help us be compassionate with people,
make white lies to maintain our relationships with the people we are close to.
Without truth, communication would
fail because words with no facts will make people believe themselves, and
causing more pointless arguments on who’s right or wrong.
