Does
Nature Only Exist for Us?
For us humans, we may think that
nature exist for us to use for our benefits like for businesses, our source of
food and raw materials to build our society. But I will shortly discuss why
nature can have a value on its own.
Nature can have a value on its own
because it is not only useful to us humans, but also to the living beings in
the ecosystem, they have an important role in maintaining the stability of nature.
For example, forests provide homes for animals, plants depend on one another to
survive, and ecosystem support different kinds of life. These stuffs don’t
directly benefit us humans, we only value what we could gain from nature, we
might exploit it and damage or destroy the ecosystem we are extracting
resources from. Since humans is still part of nature, haring it can also affect
us. So, protecting the environment by respecting the value of all living things,
because each one of them has an importance and value on their own. So, if we
continue our ways right now nature might lose its beauty.
In conclusion, nature has value beyond
what it can provide for humans. Plants, animals, and ecosystem are important
because they are living parts that maintains life. Recognizing the value of
nature can encourage us to respect, protect, and care for the environment. So
protecting nature is not only protecting human lives but also respecting the
organisms living in it.
